The city of Prague is one of the primary attractions of the country with the buildings that exemplify Romanesque, gothic, renaissance and a variety of other architectural styles. The castles, chapels, monasteries and cathedrals of Prague make it a significant vacation spot in any Czech itinerary.

Czech Republic is home to many UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Telc, Cesky Krumlov, Kutna Hora, Prague, Zdar nad Sazavou, Holasovice, Kromeriz, Lednic and Valtice, Olomouc, Brno, Trebic and Litomysl are the World Heritage Sites in the country.

The country with its numerous marked trails is an ideal location for a wonderful hiking experience. Swimming can be a great pastime (and unwinding exercise!) in Czech Republic. There are many public swimming areas in the country. The Republic does have a few naturist beaches that are located near the lakes.

Pub Crawl is one of the fun pastimes that the travellers in Czech Republic should indulge in. Replete with a large number of caches the Republic has a unique activity named Geocaching. Geocaching.com has a list of popular Czech caches that can provide the visitors with a thrilling experience.

The Nice parks and the lovely streets of the cities in the Czech Republic are ideal for walking tours. Spas of the country offer a number of refreshing and rejuvenating treatments for the tourists. The mineral springs in the area offer a wide range of treatments.

For art lovers, Czech has plenty of choices like musical performances and ballet. For kids, the Republic ensures lot of fun. Children can have a great time visiting the Prague Zoo. A visit to the Toy Museum with antique and unique toys will be absolutely wonderful for the young ones.

The Czech cuisine is replete with predominantly meat dishes that are made of beef, pork chicken and the meat of goose, rabbit, duck, etc. The cuisine is also well known for a diverse mix of soups like hovezi vyvar (clear beef soup), gulasovka (thick goulash soup), kulajda (mushroom and milk soup), et al. The Czech specialities include Pecena Kachna (roasted duck with potato dumplings or bread), smazeny kapr (fried carp with potato salad), bramborak (garlic flavoured potato pancakes), Bobovka (traditional cake served with icing sugar), etc.

The Czech Beer and wine are famous all over the world. Czech liquors like the Becherovka and Fernet Stock are a must try during a stay in the country. Kofola, a non-alcoholic beverage is widely popular among the locals and tourists.
