Thomas Cook Is Having a Sale

For all those of you lucky enough to live in India, keep an eye out for the Thomas Cook (India) leisure holiday road show.

Thomas Cook recognised that as the hard-working citizens of India may live and work in a vibrant and exciting economy, they, like many people, deserve more package holidays.

So, they came up with the idea of organising a tourism road show entitled Holiday Carnival in the City. And Hyderabad was one of the first of 30 cities that the Thomas Cook (India) road-show is set to visit.

Accompanying Thomas Cook (India) on the city tour are a number of tourism partners, including airlines, cruise and rail companies, state tourism boards and overseas tourism boards.

A spokesman for Thomas Cook (India) said: "The carnival provides an opportunity for direct interface with potential customers who could learn about various packages and emerging destinations."

Indians are embracing the idea of the short break and package holiday with some enthusiasm. Thomas Cook are keen to point out that many beautiful areas and sites of the country are overlooked, as they are not on the established list of things to see. Such places as Corbett's superb wildlife sanctuaries; the brilliant palaces of Jaisalmer; the glorious beaches of Kerala; the picturesque temples of Madurai; and, the spectacular Kon Kan region of Maharashtra, are all places that should be visited at least once.

Apart from Hyderabad, other cities already visited include Chennai and Cochin. Future stops will include Bangalore, Goa, Jallandhar, Madurai and Vishakapatnam.

And for all those not living in India, but still keen to see what India has to offer as a holiday package destination, then Thomas Cook will be there to guide the way.
